Under the XC60's Hood

Volvo offers three engine options in all three trim levels of the 2018 XC60: a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine (called the T5), a 2.0-liter turbo and supercharged four-cylinder engine (called the T6), and a new plug-in electric hybrid engine (called the T8). Output for these three engines is as follows: 250 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque for the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, 316 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque for the turbo/supercharged four-cylinder, and 400 hp and 472 lb-ft for the plug-in electric hybrid engine. All the engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission which sends power to all four wheels. With its all-wheel drive and powerful engine options, the XC60 is the perfect car for an active lifestyle.

Design of Volvo XC60

Inside the 2018 XC60, you will find luxury, technology and exceptional comfort. Three main trim levels are offered in the lineup: Momentum, Inscription, and R-Design. Each one of these trims is further quantified by your engine choice, either T5, T6 or T8. For example, if you select the Momentum trim with the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, your model will be designated as Momentum T5. The top trim levels incorporate natural driftwood in a washed-out silvery hue along the dash and center console, while supple Nappa leather covers the sport-padded heated seats. On all trims, a commanding 9-inch color touchscreen takes center stage on the dash with larger fonts and more user-friendly paths, and the infotainment system, Sensus, is compatible with Apple CarPlay and AndroidAuto. Other hi-tech features that take the hassle out of every life include a hands-free tailgate. With a foot gesture, the rear door opens automatically. There is also the new CleanZone climate system that filters the outside air and delivers clean air to the cabin, perfect for the allergy-prone driver and/or urban driver. Additionally, there is the available Volvo On Call system, which allows you to control your vehicle from your smartphone. You can check fuel levels, lock and unlock your car and start the car with a specific temperature setting, all remotely from wherever you are. The features listed above are only a small sampling of the numerous features that offer comfort, style, and convenience in the 2018 XC60.
